My cell phone beeped when I was watching my son doing his homework.
It was an app called Sky Guide letting us know that ISS, International Space Station, is flying over us in 10 minutes!
This app is so easy to use that someone like me can just point it to the sky and learn which constellations are visible in the sky.
So, we compared the screen of my iPhone as the sky...
There it is! According to NASA, the International Space Station orbits 248 miles (400km) above Earth. NASA has an interactive map called Spot the Station, but it seems not as straight forward as Sky Guide for someone like me. Without this app, we could totally mistake airplanes as ISS!
BTW, I finally decided to replace my Kitchen Aid frying pans. When I made Gyoza last night, they all got stuck and did not come off. Based on the advise from a friend who cooks well and healthy, I ordered this: GreenPan Paris Pro 11pc Ceramic Non-Stick Cookware Set

今日のシアトルの日の入りは午後8時49分。夏至に向かって、日照時間がまだまだ長くなります。シアトルの最高の季節！
息子の宿題を見ていると、携帯がビープしたので見てみると、Sky Guide というアプリが「ISS が十分後に通過します」と通知してきてました。
友人に教えてもらったこのアプリ、私のような科学は苦手な人でもわかりやすいんですよね。キャンプなどでも星空を見て「あれがこの星座か～」と知ったりできて楽しいです。
そして息子とアプリを見ながら空を見て、あのあたり？あれは飛行機じゃない？と話してると、「あ、あれ！」と息子が叫んで指差しました。
おおー、ちょうどアプリで見えてるように、月の横にきれいな線を描いて動いているものが。あれですね、あれ。おおーーーと息子が感動しているので、『宇宙兄弟』のシーンを思い出しました（笑）。
余談ですが、最近、フライパンの調子が良くなくて、餃子が完全にくっついてしまって離れないということがありました。昨年買ったばかりなのにもう寿命？お料理上手の友人に聞いて、下記をオーダーしました。今度こそ！
