Naomi Osaka is so adorable! We loved her appearances on the Today and the Ellen Show.

Back to school...!

My son and I have become big fans of Naomi Osaka after watching the segments on the Today and the Ellen Show. (Also, Michael P. Jordan, too!)

How Michael said casually about Naomi is exactly it.

"They way you carry yourself with such humility and grace. It's really amazing to see. You set an amazing example for the kids, little boys and girls that are looking up to you. So continue to work hard..."

My 7-year old was like, "She is so cool. And so is he."

For kids around the world, she has become an inspiration. Maybe especially for mix kids with Japanese background or Haitian background?

I just read a good article in AP:

"...Osaka was asked if she's a "new type of Japanese" — mixed race and representing three cultures."

""For me, it’s just who I am," she said. "When someone asks me a question like that, it really throws me off because then I really have to think about it. I don’t know. I don’t really think that I’m three separate — like mixes of whatever. I just think that I’m me.""

Exactly!

It's not what people say about who you are.

It's about who you think who you are.

You decide.

I hope my son will grow up having a strong identity about himself like she does.
